The Future of Hybrid Teams – Collaboration Between Humans and AI Agents

Most of us still use AI as a tool—such as ChatGPT to summarize meetings, automate invoices, or use co-pilots to edit Word and Excel files faster. We encounter AI in the form of co-pilots, assistants, automations and AI agents. But how exactly do these forms differ? And what does this have to do with hybrid teams?

In “hybrid agentic teams,” tasks within processes and projects are seamlessly transferred and executed between humans and machines. In his presentation, Michael shows how AI can be understood not just as a tool, but as a legitimate teammate. As a startup investor, Michael brings concrete use cases from the field: from startups that integrate AI into marketing, sales, programming and internal processes.

One thing is clear: this change typically does not fail because of the technology, but primarily because of us. It’s crucial to understand what hybrid teams mean for us personally—whether as managers or employees—and how we can implement this future way of working in concrete terms.
