Founded in 2001 by Robert Lindmaier, Melago brings over 18 years of experience in standardization and automation of pre-print processes.

The company's CEOs have been in contact for many years: more than 25 years ago, Melago's Managing Director, Robert Lindmaier, at Udo Bär's, was Horst Huber's second customer, with his first company during that time “Schnitstelle” the first database Publishing solutions on the market.
