A

A/B test (data-based A/B test)

A data-based method for measuring success in which two versions (A and B) are compared to identify the better-performing version using metrics such as click-through rate.

A+ content

An enhanced product presentation in online shops using additional images, tables, and infographics to make products easier to understand and support sales.

Access token

An access token is a digital authorization credential that enables access to protected resources or services. It is often issued for a limited time and avoids repeatedly transmitting login credentials.

Accessibility

The accessible design of digital offerings so that everyone can use content without restriction, regardless of physical or technical limitations (e.g., with a screen reader or keyboard).

Add-ons

Extensions for existing software solutions that add targeted new functions without changing the underlying structure. They support individual customization, ease of use, or the integration of external tools.

AI algorithms

AI algorithms are mathematical methods that enable systems to identify patterns in data and derive predictions, decisions, or content from them. They form a basis for artificial intelligence applications.

AI guidelines

AI guidelines are binding guidelines for the responsible use of artificial intelligence. They define requirements for transparency, data protection, fairness, security, and ethical standards.

AI multimodality

AI multimodality refers to the ability of AI systems to process and link different types of data, such as text, images, audio, or video, together. This enables richer contextual analyses and more natural interactions.

AI technologies

AI technologies comprise methods and systems that analyze data, identify patterns, and automatically derive predictions, decisions, or content from them. They range from machine learning to generative AI and are used for content, customer communication, and process automation, among other areas.

AI translations

AI translations are automated translations of text or speech using artificial intelligence. Modern systems take context and linguistic relationships into account and enable fast, scalable translations.

AI, AI-supported analyses; generative AI, strong AI

Artificial intelligence (AI) comprises technologies that identify patterns in data and derive tasks such as analyses, predictions, or decisions from them. Generative AI creates new content such as text or images. Strong AI refers to a hypothetical, human-like intelligence and does not yet exist.

All-in-one app

An application that brings together different services and processes, such as communication, organization, or data management, into one central interface. It replaces multiple individual apps with a seamless overall solution.

API (application programming interface)

A predefined interface for the automated exchange of functions and data between different software applications. It enables the seamless integration of external services and the networking of digital systems.

API token

A unique access key for the secure authentication of people or applications with an interface (API). It controls the targeted release and use of data and functions.

APO gateway

A technical interface that receives and processes requests and forwards them to a connected APO system in a targeted way. It handles tasks such as load balancing, access control, and the management of secure communication.

App marketplace

A digital platform for centrally offering and obtaining applications, extensions, or modules. It enables systems to be expanded flexibly and as needed with new functions.

Application data

Data such as settings, inputs, or logs that is created through interactions and system processes when software is used. It is essential for ensuring functionality and enabling individual customization.

Asset

A valuable digital or physical content component (e.g., image, video, text) for marketing and communication. Assets are usually enriched with metadata to ensure that they can be found quickly and reused.

Asset enrichment

The targeted enrichment of digital content with additional information such as metadata, tags, or categories. This sharpens the context, improves findability, and optimizes use in digital systems.

Attribute (products; structured, unstructured)

A product property that may be available in structured form in predefined fields (e.g., color, size) or in unstructured form as free text (e.g., product description).

Augmented reality (AR)

A technology that overlays digital content such as 3D models or text onto physical environments in real time to enable interactive product presentations or instructions.
